Mise en Cage

6th November 2014 | Alice Taylor

Mise en Cage, that Parisian boutique who specialise in the indulgences of eroticism and sensuality debut their first in-house lingerie line.

Fashionising: “Up until this point, Mise en Cage were purveyors of other branded luxury boudoir attire and sensual accessories, but it was only a matter of time until they put their expertise into designing. The range is simple but stunning, sophisticated but strappy. Black sheer panels are criss-crossed by straps. Sometimes the bras are the straps, with no fabric to interfere with the unadulterated sexiness.”

I am also stunned by how striking their model is – what a physique!

I saw this post on Buzz Feed which was highly amusing, quite scary and sprinkled with a (very) light peppering of eroticism, all at the same time.

Just a few examples of the work of Polish Architect and photographer Zbigniew Łagocki.

He took photographs all his life, set up solo and group exhibitions and entered photografic contests. During the International Biennal Art Exhibition in Sao Paulo in Brasil Łagocki was awarded gold medal for the photographic series “Aerotica”. In 1968 he was an organizer, inviting Zbigniew Dłubak as his collaborator, of the famed exhibition of Polish Subjective Photography.

Nettie Harris by Renato Ramos Jr.

18th August 2014 | Alice Taylor

Having almost completed the printing of Issue One of The Quite Delightful Project, I admit to being mildly obsessed with the model Nettie Harris.

…she’s in Quite Frankly, both photographed by George Pitts and in a candid and revealing interview, and also features in a fine art photographic monograph of photography by Mikey McMichaels which will be launched at the same time.

Here’s Nettie looking entirely natural – just as she always does – – photographed by Renato Ramos Jr.

My Parents Had A Party

14th August 2014 | Alice Taylor

This article is by Amanda Dandeneau for the ever entertaining Vice Magazine.

“Last summer, my parents decided to throw a party to celebrate life. I wasn’t quite sure what my mom had planned other than an entertaining night with good food and company. As I entered my parents’ house that evening, I was greeted by a little person my mom had hired from an adult entertainment agency. He was dressed as a cop and demanded that each arriving and unsuspecting guest show his or her ID… or else.
OK, a little weird, but nothing too extreme. As the party continued, two of the cocktail waitresses and one of the male servers started taking off their clothing, and suddenly they were naked and the lap dances and the tequila ice-luge/body-shot demonstrations began. At first, many of their guests were unsure of how to react to the nakedness around them. I, for one, was amused and a bit surprised to see adults whom I have known my entire life getting smothered in breasts and bathed in booze at my parents’ house.
As the night progressed, two additional strippers arrived to perform for the guests, and the little person quickly stripped down to join in the show. Slowly and surely, more and more guests began to loosen up and really experience the celebration of zany fun that my mom had planned from the start. The hours went by fast; everyone was merrily drunk, including the dog sitter. After a long night of hard partying, the talent was paid, the guests sent off with coffee, and we all went to bed. The next morning may have been even more fun as we conducted the post-party critique, with mom wearing the little person’s uniform, which he had somehow forgoten to take home that night. “

Ren Hang

One of the highlights of the launch issue of The Quite Delightful Project’s erotic magazine is the photography of Shanghai artist Ren Hang.

This though is just an amusing animated GIF of one of his images.

It perfectly captures the humour in his work though.

Modern Pin Up

Even as the Pirelli Calendar flaunts its fiftieth anniversary with a previously unseen shoot by Helmut Newton, it’s easy to forget that powerful images of impossibly beautiful women were not always the norm. The original Calendar was a novel experiment in luxury marketing, devised by art director Derek Forsyth in 1964 to set a then-fledgling tire maker apart from the competition.
