Drunk In Love
Märta Thisner is a Stockholm-based photographer whose work is best done after a tipple or two. “I shoot more when drinking because I’m a shy Swedish person, and that’s when we loosen up,” she says, a revelation that might give insight into her eye for capturing the free spirit of the women around her.

Jan Saudek
Today I came across the work of Jan Saudek, a Czech art photographer and painter who has been image making for over sixty years. He has a distinctive painterly style to his work and covers a wide and sometimes controversial subject matter. His chronological portfolio of work can be seen here.
Some interesting Wiki information on Jan:
His early art photography is noted for its evocation of childhood. Later his works often portrayed the evolution from child to adult (re-photographing the same composition/pose, and with the same subjects, over many years). Religious motives or the ambiguity between man and woman have also been some of Jan Saudek’s recurring themes. His work was the subject of attempts at censorship in the West during the 1990s.
I have found these images from various sources on Tumblr.
Laura Queen by Darren Ankenman

Just a few examples of the work of Polish Architect and photographer Zbigniew Łagocki.
He took photographs all his life, set up solo and group exhibitions and entered photografic contests. During the International Biennal Art Exhibition in Sao Paulo in Brasil Łagocki was awarded gold medal for the photographic series “Aerotica”. In 1968 he was an organizer, inviting Zbigniew Dłubak as his collaborator, of the famed exhibition of Polish Subjective Photography.

Abbey Lee Kershaw by Cara Stricker
It’s on to the studio again, when I too could frolicking naked in a field with my camera.
As the days grow cooler, opportunities reduce and, maybe, I should…
You can see more images of Abbey Lee Kershaw al fresco across at The Quiet Front
Artist Or Predator?
NY Magazine: Is Terry Richardson an Artist or a Predator?
Terry Richardson, displaced from his old photography studio on the Bowery by a high-end fitness chain, was at his new space, an unadorned floor-through loft down the street. Wood floor, tin ceiling, brick walls interrupted by white swaths of Sheetrock. Four employees sat working quietly on Macs. Pandora was tuned to Elvis Presley Radio. “It’s insane, the internet,” Richardson was saying. “Totally craziness. Like a little cancer. People can just do whatever they want, say whatever they want, be totally anonymous. It’s totally out of control.”

Reflections
Brooke Shaden is a fine art photographer living and working in Arizona. Her passion lies in creating new worlds through photographs. Her vision extends beyond the realm of the camera, creating images that resemble paintings and speak of an era that is not our own. Each image is a story.

Ren Hang
One of the highlights of the launch issue of The Quite Delightful Project’s erotic magazine is the photography of Shanghai artist Ren Hang.
This though is just an amusing animated GIF of one of his images.
It perfectly captures the humour in his work though.

Susannah Baker-Smith
It’s a rare thing that a series of works are not only stunning on their own, but also work and interact beautifully with one another.
Sensitive, fragile, evocative ….what’s not to love in these images by Susannah Baker-Smith.
Brooke by Damon Loble
I am a big fan of naturalistic photography, it just seems more honest, and real, and I am also a longstanding fan of Damon Loble’s image-making.
So, do I need to justify including this image to any greater degree?
Thanks to The Quiet Front for drawing my attention to it.
Jordan Sullivan
Having lived in London, Houston, New York City, and Mt. Vernon, and worked as a manual labourer, a touring musician, a dishwasher, an artist’s assistant, and a housekeeper for a psychoanalyst, photographer and writer Jordan Sullivan now seems to have settled in Los Angeles, California.
