A subtly revealing and cute picture by Pete Prokopiw.

Having almost completed the printing of Issue One of The Quite Delightful Project, I admit to being mildly obsessed with the model Nettie Harris.
…she’s in Quite Frankly, both photographed by George Pitts and in a candid and revealing interview, and also features in a fine art photographic monograph of photography by Mikey McMichaels which will be launched at the same time.
Here’s Nettie looking entirely natural – just as she always does – – photographed by Renato Ramos Jr.

This shoot of model Alexandria Jade for uber-cool fashion magazine Purple really is a strong body of work and well deserving of an immediate showcasing.

It seems nostalgia even applies – especially applies! – to good ole old school erotica.
This (I think) early seventies pic is a peach.

When the movie Heaven’s Gate was first released it was slated in so many different ways; one of the most memorable was that it’s lead actress, Isabelle Huppert, had a face like a potato.
Anyway, the film’s gone on to be revered today as perhaps the greatest Western ever made and to celebrate the release of a fully restored cut on DVD, let’s enjoy the reality that was ‘potato-face’.
Some images just have the power to stop you in your tracks.
This naturalistic powerhouse, by Daniel Bauer, for me, does just that.

Just a lovely self-portrait by artist/photographer Angela Delaagua who has created the most beautiful archive of images shot in the desert where she lives.

Tom Unger shoots a fine cover image for the Winter 13/14 issue of 032c (Issue No. 25).
…some day all covers will be made this way.

To complement my previous post, here’s a few images that certainly have the ability to arrest one’s attention.
The first image is by Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki.
Having spent considerable time over the past few days writing about women’s pubic hair for an article in a new digital journal – which I have titled ‘Sisterhood Of the Bush’ – I am intrigued to see that agency Mother in London has their attention pointed towards some similar project.
It’s a shame that I’m not in London today as really I feel rather duty-bound to participate… …perhaps readers of this blog might join in on my behalf.

I don’t usually like images featuring smoking, but I find this 1961 photograph of model Judy Dent, shot in Paris, by Frank Horvat quite sublime.

Just an initial image from a self-portrait shoot that I started to play with yesterday.
I’m not yet quite happy with the results, but this one unretouched colour image is quite pleasing and can serve for now to suggest a hint of things to come.

No, this isn’t my contribution to Katherine’s ‘Muff Monday’ posts, but an image of Diane Arbus by photographer Allan Arbus, 1944.
