Iain Claridge Features Quite Frankly

21st November 2014 | Alice Taylor

Thank you to Iain Claridge for featuring us on his blog!

“Exquisitely produced to the highest standards, the thing that struck me straight away is the attention to detail in a publication that is quite obviously a labour of love – from the bespoke slipcase and exposed coptic stitch binding of the main magazine, to the sweet little photograph slotted into the cover of it’s naughty little sister, ‘I Confess’.

On the basis of this first issue, Quite Frankly is showing all the potential of becoming a highly collectable series of publications.”

Take a scroll through Iain’s blog – you won’t be dissapointed.

Desiree Mattsson

9th October 2014 | Katherine Jane

We’re proud to be working with the wonderfully talented photographer Desiree Mattsson for two separate projects to do with Issue Two of Quite Delightful, and are pleased indeed to be able to showcase this portfolio of images of her shoot with the especially distinctive and beautiful model.

I shall have to update this post when Desiree updates me with the name of the model.

You can see more of Desiree’s work here.

Nettie Harris by Renato Ramos Jr.

18th August 2014 | Alice Taylor

Having almost completed the printing of Issue One of The Quite Delightful Project, I admit to being mildly obsessed with the model Nettie Harris.

…she’s in Quite Frankly, both photographed by George Pitts and in a candid and revealing interview, and also features in a fine art photographic monograph of photography by Mikey McMichaels which will be launched at the same time.

Here’s Nettie looking entirely natural – just as she always does – – photographed by Renato Ramos Jr.

Quite Frankly – The Cover

15th August 2014 | Simone Aagaard

FIRST LOOK!

Here it is, fresh off the press and with it’s beautiful foil-blocked masthead, the cover for Issue One: Quite Frankly.

Photography by The Quite Delightful Project’s Editor Katherine Wood, and the cover model is the magazine’s designer (The English Group’s own) Alice Taylor.

…and let’s give credit where credit is due, a big thank you to the whole team at our wonderful printers Opal.

Quite Printed

17th July 2014 | Katherine Jane

Another day on press at Opal Print, printing the launch issue of The Quite Delightful Project.

Today we completed the printing of the front and back cover of this new publication, and all of the pages printed on uncoated papers. Over the next few days we shall be printing all of the pages on coated papers, and right through to the finished product in readiness for it’s launch.

Issue One On Press

30th May 2014 | Katherine Jane

To respond to all the hundreds of questions we’ve received regarding the progress of the The Quite Delightful Project, the simple answer is that it is now in production.

The images to the right show our printer, Opal, running a first digital proof.

We shall be refining the layout over the next few days – chasing down the last few outstanding contributions (c’mon guys, you know who you are!) – and the final artwork will be on press next week; and available for purchase in the third week of June.

We shall be sending out further updates very soon.
