Novo Camera

Pushing forward from where GoPro left off, Radiant Images have released the Novo Camera – a mod of the GoPro HERO3 which, as well as being 20% thinner, introduces a C-mount lens system, exposure control capabilities, and the option of disabling the auto exposure feature.

The 12MP sensor, LCD touchscreen, and WiFi all remain, opening up a wide-range of artistic possibilities for cinematographers and camera operators such as extreme macro shooting at high frame rates. Unfortunately, the camera is currently available for rental-only from the LA-based company for $250 USD a day and $750 USD a week and it looks like they don’t have any plans to sell it in the foreseeable future.
