Photographer Ryan McGinley has shared the results of his latest trip across America, which will be shown in a new exhibition called Vertical Color of Sound at Galerie Perrotin in Hong Kong. “I like to photograph other artists. The people in my photos are always painters, dancers, poets, sculptors, and musicians,” said McGinley. “I only shoot at dawn and dusk to get soft light on the body and those pinks and purples in the sky.” During the annual trip, McGinley travelled through 30 states of stunning landscape, setting up studio lights outside to create the perfect environment.
Ryan McGinley’s Vertical Color of Sound is open now and will run through to 21 June, 2014.
