Sexual Love is a series by Joseph Staples.
Via Aesthete Curator: Staples works with found imagery and printmaking to create his collage. This series is comparable to the marble sculpture by French sculptor Auguste Rodin Le Baiser or The Kiss, where the couple is intertwined in a passionate embrace. The naked marble bodies are abstracted and strips of the imagery are juxtaposed together mounted on thin pieces of wood, although the artwork is in two-dimensional surface, it is transformed into a sculpture. Staples has had several exhibitions of his photographs and is based in Vancouver, Canada.
